ARIANE'S No-Sugar Protein chocolate Ice Cream

Conventional ice cream is both high in sugar & fat, which creates an intense fat storage and inflammation effect.

Plus, our dairy is loaded with hormones, antibiotic residue and inflammatory, which can wreak havoc on your skin, immune system and cause bloating and digestive issues. This recipe is clean, satiating, contains zero sugar and helps you get the sweet fix you need without sabotaging your diet.

DAIRY  (Greek yogurt, kefir, milk, cheese). American dairy is loaded with growth hormones and antibiotics. Dairy cows are fed grains instead of grass, which are very irritating to the cow's digestive tract. As a result, their immune system acts up, they get sick and their stomachs become acidic. Not only do cows get fed TUMS, but also antibiotics to keep them healthy. All this ends up in our dairy and meat and can affect our systems as well.

  • Dairy in the US contains Casein A-1 and in the body it transforms into beta-casomorphin, which can stimulate your immune system to attack your pancreas (the organ that produces insulin).

  • Southern European cows produce Casein A-2, which doesn't produce those symptoms.

Look for dairy from southern Europe or go for goat milk, coconut milk, buffalo yogurt, grass-fed butter (Kerrygold), ghee (clarified butter), or almond milk.

You'll be happy to know that high-fat dairy doesn't contain casein, so you'll be better able to handle sour cream, heavy cream, cream cheese, parmesan cheese and French and Italian cheeses that are high in fat.

Here's my NON-DAIRY recipe for an indulgent & delicious protein ice cream that is sugar-free & low in fat.

This is a great way to deal with your sugar or ice cream cravings.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup frozen cauliflower

  • 1 heaping tablespoon of dark cocoa powder (raw organic is best - I like Navitas)

  • 1/2 to 1 full avocado

  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk

  • 1 scoop Orgain vanilla protein powder (or any other clean protein powder you like)

Combine ingredients in a powerful blender like the Nutribullet or Vitamix and blend on high until you get a creamy, airy, moussy consistency.

NUTRIENT INFORMATION:

Carbs: 10 grams

Protein: 10 grams

Fat: 10-20 grams (depends on size of avocado)

Serve immediately or freeze in popsicles forms and enjoy later.
